Ride and Stride in good company with Fringford Freewheelers, 10 September setting off at 10am from Fringford Village Hall, finish c. 2pm.
Fancy doing Ride and Stride, but worried about getting lonely or lost? Forget your fears – Fringford Freewheelers (aka Village Plan Cycle and Transport Group) are doing it mobhandlebarred on 10th September and you are very welcome to join us for the ride!
We’ll leave from Fringford Village Hall Car Park at 10am on Saturday 10th September, visiting up to 10 beautiful local historic churches on a circular route. For those with sophisticated road bikes or behinds that don’t do bumps, there is a totally trail-free tarmac circuit within the route taking in seven churches. We will visit the occasional hostelry alongside the holy places, and finish in the sanctuary of the Butchers Arms for some spiritual renewal in the early afternoon (c. 2pm finish).
Our gentle pace means we’ll be out for the best part of four hours (including breaks), but it’s going to be a fabulous day so get your sponsorship page sorted out on JustGiving or similar and join us to help preserve Oxfordshire’s historic churches for future generations. Helmet, hi-viz, sandwiches and beer money all recommended.
