The contractors started on the re-lettering of the War Memorial today.  It is quite a job as every letter has to be carefully re-carved and then in due course all ‘blacked’ in so that it all shows up. We may have to wait for the weather for it to be completed as the forecast for the next couple of days isn’t great, but at least it has started.
